Lately, I’ve noticed a major change in the beauty industry based on how women and young girls actually utilize makeup. For many, makeup used to be the key element in enhancing one’s beauty but most importantly to hide flaws!

However, today, I’m noticing that more and more people see makeup as a form of creative expression and a way of completely transforming one’s look. I mean, search the hashtag “beauty” or “makeup” on Instagram and what do you see!? A sea of what seems to be millions of Kylie Jenner’s flooding your feed. With just pounds of makeup, literally anyone can transform their faces, creating the perfect “Kylie Jenner” look. It’s quite extraordinary, actually. Today, makeup is more than merely what it stands for; to “make one up.” Instead, it’s becoming pop culture’s tool to changing not only the way people look but how they feel as well.

For me, makeup remains as it always has. I don’t wear much makeup nor do I use it to transform my looks. Rather, makeup is more of a way of merely enhancing the natural beauty hidden beneath my natural features. A Ciarra Lorren staple! I’ve been using this bronzer for AGES and never plan on changing anytime soon.

7. Bobbi Brown Shimmer Compact Brick

Another great bronzing product! I actually use this for both highlighting and for eyeshadow. I find this shimmer brick really enhances my eyes better than any other eyeshadow.

8. Clarins Prodige Illuminating Cheek Colour

What’s a look without a little blush! Love this Clarins’ blusher to some color to my look. Provides such a natural glow! I use the shade “Sunset Coral.”

9. Lancôme Artliner

Eyeliner is a great way to bring attention to your eyes and Lancôme’s Artliner makes creating that tricky wing 100 times easier.

10. Lancôme Grandiôse Extrême Mascara

I can not achieve my look without this staple. It is forever my go-to mascara as I’ve never witnessed a mascara that lengthens and adds volume to my lashes quite like this one. I NEVER LEAVE THE HOUSE WITHOUT IT.
