Summer may just be ending, however, my suitcase is already packed for next summer’s vacation thanks to Australian brand, Sabo Luxe.
We all know and love Sabo Skirt, the minimalistic yet playful clothing brand founded by sisters Thessy and Yiota Kouzoukas, the Instagram-famous duo, most notably known for their neutral and Greek island-inspired pieces that exude the epitome of summer vacation. But, unbeknownst to me (until NYFW of course), the dynamic duo have a luxury sister brand that literally brings all of our wildest summer dream silhouettes to life.
For the third year in a row, the Sabo Skirt girls returned to fashion week to debut their Spring/Summer 2018 Sabo Luxe collection inspired by the essence of summer vacation. It’s safe to say that the Australian designers definitely did not disappoint, as they transformed the Fashion Palette runway into the passage ways of a fun and flirtatious tropical resort.
Wrap and knot detailing conquered the SS18 runway with wrap skirts and bow-tied belts leading the pack of silhouettes. Additional quirky knot detailing gently laying on the models’ arms elevated the very sophisticated off-the-should trend. Clearly the sister do not see this fad going away anytime soon.
Along with wrap detailing, the designers forecast the continuity of strong popularity toward the color of the moment; Millennial Pink, which they paired with white throughout the collection to nod to the currently trending gingham and plaid patterns.
However, the Millennial Pink trend is not all the sister’s forecast for next summer as a majority of the collection consisted of Mellow Yellow-colored pieces. Paired with classic Sabo Skirt ruffled detailing and circular hardware, the pastel shade only enhanced the ultra-feminine feel that the brand stands for.
And, as if we couldn’t love the collection anymore, the brand closed the show with the most precious toddler revealing their latest line, Sabo Mini, an exclusive fashion line Sabo Skirt loving kids.
