How would you define your style?

I like to describe my fashion as “model-off-duty-ish.” But really, casual chic would probably be more fitting being that I’m not a model, or one off duty.

What’s your favorite style trend of this year?

In general, I feel like denim has been the all encompassing trend of the last few years due to it’s revival after the takeover of leggings. So, I’m just all about denim anything!!!

Who are your fashion icons?

Being that I like to dress in a “model-off-duty” style, there are so many models that inspire my fashion. Some include, Lily Aldridge, Sara Sampaio, Chrissy Teigen, Taylor Hill, Romee Strijd, Rosie Huntington-Whitely, Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, and Bella Hadid. In terms of celebrities and bloggers, Victoria Beckham is probably my number one fashion icon, followed by the likes of Chiara Ferragni, Julie Sariñana and Nicole Richie.

What inspires your fashion?

For me, fashion is the greatest form of self-expression and it’s also the greatest form of creativity. Having the ability to creatively piece together my very own style free from limitations truly inspires each outfit I wear.

What was your biggest fashion mistake?

So glad you asked, Gluecksgeist! Anyone who has known me for a really long time probably knows my answer to this question. The biggest fashion mistake I ever made was 100-percent deciding to wear a light pink velour tracksuit with fake diamond chains. I will literally NEVER live that outfit down even if I’ve tried to throw away/delete every copy of that image to ever exist!!

What’s your favorite outfit?

I like to keep things simple. So, for me, denim shorts, a white t-shirt and statement shoes will always do the trick!

What’s your favorite shoe brand?

This is strangely a question I’ve never thought of before, as I love and own soooo many different brands of shoes. Therefore, I can’t really choose!!!

If you were trapped on a deserted island, what three things would you bring (besides medicine, water, food, etc.)?

Is it odd that the thought of being trapped on a deserted island makes me less anxious than the thought of having to chose only two three things to bring!?! Yes? Thought so.

However, if I were trapped on a deserted island, I would bring a bike or boat to get around of course, some sort of instrument like a guitar because I might as well learn how to do something new while I’m there and my family. Yes, I know my “family” includes more than three things but really family takes a singular verb so I think I win with this one!

How long does it take you to put together a post?

Depending on the post, it can take it from up to five minutes to five hours. For some posts, like those in my “Travel” section, the behind the scenes work of choosing an outfit, shooting the outfit, then actually putting the post together take up hours of my time. However, they are totally worth it.

How do you deal with writer’s block (if you ever have)?

I’m not usually one to get writer’s block. However, if I ever have trouble beginning a post, article, assignment, etc., I generally just start writing my thoughts down. Whatever they may be, I simply start to write freely. I find that to be the easiest way to later transition into what it is I really want to say.

What and who are your inspirations?

I am constantly being inspired by all of my surroundings. Each family member of mine is a huge inspiration. And, in general, God and life inspire me on a daily basis.

How do you make sure you can stay on top of consistent blog posts?

I’d be lying if I said it were easy to stay on top of consistently posting blogs, as I often fail to do so. However, being that this is something I have always dreamed of doing as well as something I absolutely love and believe in, I try my very hardest to push myself to post regularly. 

How do come up with great, original posts all the time?

First of all, THANK YOU Elizafaithoo for being so lovely!!! It’s honestly hard to say. I sometimes just dream up blog posts or am inspired by literally everything around me from TV shows to magazines and everything in between.

What and who inspired you to start blogging?

I actually started this blog as an assignment for a fashion journalism course I took in college. So, I was practically forced to start this blog to receive a grade in that class haha. However, blogging has always been something I wanted to do. I love the idea of being able to share my thoughts and opinions in a fun and intellectual way. If any blogger inspired the continuation of this blog into what it has become today, it was definitely Chiara Ferragni. There’s something so inspiring about seeing someone create such a powerful business and brand by simply doing what they love and are passionate about.

What are some destinations on your bucket list?

From Pluto and back! If I could, I would literally travel the entire planet but right now the top of my list consists of Italy, Greece, the Maldives, St. Barts, St. Lucia and Tahiti.

What is the hardest part of blogging?

For me, the hardest part about blogging is being so vulnerable and really putting myself out there.
